Thanks for the quick reply on the pics. You answered my question.
The DFR canister is 12" deep and 8" wide. The filter damn near takes up all that space inside the canister. Not saying that the UMP does not work but it looks to be the same size as the stock filter. That is one thing that sold me on the DFR is because of the fact that the filtered air has to filter through a much larger surface area than the stock filter.

That gets me thinking though. If his UMP works great with such a small donaldson filter then why can't a donaldson filter hook up to the stock air box and then remount the airbox on the tranny or engine to allow movement together?

Any thoughts?
