That is what I eventually did. I also wired the boot to the throttle body. On the top of the throttle body there are 2 tabs with holes all the way through. On the bottom, there are 2 tabs but no holes. I was going to use safety wire but could not find my safety wire pliers. I used high end electrical wire with a urethane insulation. I looped it under the throttle body around the tabs and through a second hose clap then through the tab on top and crimped a high end connector to tie it all together. I cant see any way the boot could come off now.
